Recycled fibers
Polyester can be recycled from textile production waste, used clothing, and even plastic bottles. Recycled polyester therefore helps in many cases to clean the oceans of the waste that pollutes them.
The transition from a plastic bottle to a recycled garment is done in several stages:
Fishermen collect plastic bottles from the sea
The bottles are crushed into small flakes
The small flakes are crushed into granules
The pellets are melted to form a thread
The thread is woven to form a fabric and make a recycled garment.
